The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani said , in joint press conference with Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid al-Khalifa, in the wake of a summit of GCC 37th session, which was held in Manama, on Wednesday, with the participation of British Prime Minister, Theresa May, that GCC is working on rehabilitation of Yemeni economy to join the Gulf economy.
Al Zayani confirmed that this represents the spirit of cooperation with Yemen and the desire of GCC leaders to support it. He added that the efforts of Gulf states since 2011 support reaching a peaceful political process that save the blood of Yemenis and help Yemen not to get into a civil war, and is the basis of the GCC initiative ,which supports peaceful solution and supporting the legitimate authorities to return and control on all Yemeni territory.
