President praises businessmen's efforts to contribute in establishing security and stability

On Sunday, December 4th 2016, President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi met Board Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Aden and a number of businessmen in the presence of governor of the Central Bank, Monasser al-Qu'aiti and the Board Directors of the bank.

At the meeting, the President reviewed a number of developments and challenges facing Yemen at various levels, including those related to the economic situation experienced by the country because of the coup war waged by Houthi militia and Saleh's forces on Yemenis.

He praised the efforts undertaken by businessmen to contribute in establishing security and stability in Yemen, particularly in Aden province, through investments and development stability in its accepted limits during and after the war.

The President urged everyone to reactivate trade and investment activity to rise to Aden's stature, reputation and its long history of navigation and free trade, pointing out in this regard to guide the government in facilitating and amending a number of measures to cope with the nature of the stage, smooth work under today's reality and people's aspirations.

He said, "Aden today is the interim capital of Yemen, in which we will complete the project of Federal Yemen, which is unanimously agreed by all Yemeni people eager for justice, equality and a decent life."

President also urged everyone to make further efforts under the current circumstances, promising a new and prosperous future for all Yemeni people.

During the meeting, some Board Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Aden talked and expressed their pleasure to meet President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who is keen to care about the economic, trade and investment activity as a lifeline and representing an ongoing challenge under the current circumstances in Yemen.

They pointed to a number of scenarios aiming to push their activities forward to serve the nation and citizen.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Salem Salman.
