On Saturday, Mustafa Nasr, the chairman of the Studies and Economic Media Center (SEMC), met with the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout Bin Madi, and the Head of the Hadhramaut Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Omar Bajersh, to explore avenues of joint cooperation among the three entities to support development and investment in Hadhramaut.
Nasr emphasized during the meeting the importance of partnership in developing developmental initiatives that meet the needs of the governorate and enhance its economic stability.
He also expressed SEMC's readiness to provide insights and proposals that contribute to achieving sustainable development in Hadhramaut.
The discussion included mechanisms for improving strategic plans to enhance institutional efficiency in the trade and development sectors, as well as providing the necessary technical and advisory support to improve institutional planning processes.
For his part, Bin Madi praised the role of the SEMC and the Chamber of Commerce in providing economic and diagnostic studies. He commended the investment opportunities matrix prepared by the SEMC, which highlights Hadhramaut’s economic potential. He noted that this collaboration represents a significant step toward shaping a future vision for economic development in the governorate.
It is worth mentioning that the SEMC is a civil society organization that works towards a successful and transparent Yemeni economy by raising awareness of economic and developmental issues, promoting transparency and good governance, and fostering professional and skilled media.
